I asked this question a while ago when I got my dog and not many people had heard of the breed. Was just wondering if they are better known now....Corso is THE hot lg. breed right now in many areas of the US. Unfortunatly, they are being over bred in these same areas contributing to many many homeless dogs.
Ive had several over the years.. now down to one corso male. I can count on 2 hands the cane corso in my region. But in other areas, they are being bred like crazy..like Atlanta GA.
I think you'll see borboel and dogo/presa are the next "hot" breeds.. so maybe folks will slow down on the corso breeding.I ve had my Cane Corso for 3 years and thus far I ve only met two people who have a Cane Corso. Not too many people know about they breed, I walk him everyday and almost every time someone stops to ask what kind of a dog he is; or they say Wow, that s a nice pit bull . It s nice having a unique dog, especially because they are sooooooo cute, loving, and smart. Mine is a 3yr old male blue brindle.Somebody posted a question about Presa Canarios and there was an answer from a user with a Corso.
