I have house rabbits, recently got the female as a mate for my male. She is neutered and under a year. I change their litter each day but the ast few weeks there is this strong fishy smell to her urine.
Is it anything to do with food, or something wrong with her, like an infection?
It's a very strong fishy smell.my female rabbits pee smells like acidI've got a girl house rabbit who isnt neutered, and her wee don't smell bad at all. Well it don't smell of anything.
She only starts to stink if I havent cleaned her out in a few days, which is understandable. What are you feeding her on?Hi, you can buy special treats for her that stop the smell they are called Treat-ums, give your rabbit about 3 a day it ill stop the smell of the urine being fishy, i have used them on my rabbit and YES they work, you can buy them at any pet shopMake it ate something and you didn't know it.I would get her checked out at a vet. A strong, unpleasant smell to the urine is typically the first sign you see for a urinary tract infection. I would not recommend feeding her treats to make her pee smell better without ruling out a medical problem first. :)#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
