What relationship of the agriculture?

The preoccupation of the ancient Egyptians has a universal struggle between chaos and order. so what are their relationship with their methods of agriculture?? I heard they were really fond of onions.

And they invented a number of surveying methods to re-plot the fields after each yearly flood of the Nile.

Egyptians depended on the Nile river flooding ever year to renew the soil fertility. Some years the flooding wasn't enough, some it was to much and wiped out there farms. It also brought crocodiles. Talk about chaos!
