Looking for recent hit song title/artist Best answer on the web

  • I?m seeking a song, which was a semi popular hit in Australia (and probably in other parts of the world then, most likely USA as well, but I?m guessing ). I?m sure it was either early 2005, or 2004.
It?s this guy who sings/announces popular artists of the eighties. Example. ?Madonna, micheal Jackson, bon jovi, police??
And I?m sure that?s all the lyrics are. Just continues to announce popular artists, with a musical break in between, after he has announced 10-15 artists of that era.
If anyone could give me a link to a page with those lyrics on it, would be most grateful.

  • That's it! Thanks zmerlin! Wish there was someway I could repay you...it would have driven me mad, unable to find it. Thanks for your suggestion too, brucedene.
With no more to do, might as well close this.

  • I believe the song is Bowling for Soup - 1985

  • Thanks for your suggestion chunkyg, but that isn't it.

  • It sounds like Negativland's "Michael Jackson." I can only find a small sample on Amazon:
