What does only one line showing up on a clear blue easy ovulating stick mean?

i just started trying to get pregnant. I tried one of the clear blue easy sticks and there is supposed to be two lines. One blue comparison line on the right, and either a lighter line if you're not at your LH surge, and a equal or darker line if you are at your LH surge. Anyone have any experience with this product. Did I do something wrong? Maybe I need to pee first thing in the morning? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It simply means that there isn't enough lh in your body to register at all. You shouldn't use first morning urine for an OPK. The lh hormone is best tested later in the day, unlike hCG. Only one line usually means you are not ovulating. What cycle day are you? It may still be too early... Also, you should not use OPKS with first morning urine, you are more likely to get false positives at that time. It is recommended to use OPKS between 10 am and 2 pm, after four hours of holding your pee and not drinking excessive liquids. I would also try temping and checking your cervical mucus. Egg whitish or creamy means ovulation is usually on it's way. I usually do not even start my OPKS until things are creamy.... sorry if tmi. GL to you dear! This process can be frustrating!
  • I think that one line is just the control lone. You need to get two lines to show a LH surge, but i cant remember if it suppose to be a dark line or not. I thought that just a second line was a good sign. Apparently a surge can be detected
within 6 hours or so. It can happen at any time of the day and can last only a short time so check a few times per day
