I have always had bad sleeping habits. I have recently been placed on medication to correct it. It throws me off a little especially when it comes to eating. I found that I will eat a meal and then fall asleep soon afterwards. I have been told that is really bad. I would just like someone to tell me what happens when I do that. Also I want to know if I have to exercise more to burn off the food or fat when I wake up.Well, they are right when they tell you that it is bad to sleep right after you eat. After you eat you are supposed to like not do anything like lay down or run and in your case sleep because your food needs time to digest, for at least 20 min., even though the digestion process takes longer. I dont exactly know all the details but thats the best thing I can give you in simple terms. Just dont do anything right after you eat , unless you learn how to sleep standing up : ) LOL.
Well, the answer to your other question. Hmmm. Well, if you stop sleeping right after you eat, then I dont think you need to exercise more. This is just my opinion. I'm not like a college grad with their P.H.D. here. LOL. Even though its healthier or if you are wanted to then I dont think its mandatory to have to exercise.
Well, I hope you are feeling better and everything is OK with you.
I hope I helped you out!
( This is the stuff my mommy has been telling me so if it dosent work, then you can yell at her) ; ) LOLWhen you sleep, you are using less energy. If you go to sleep right after you eat, that energy will store in your body. It is best to eat more during the day when you are active. You should talk to your doctor about your situation. Talk to him to see what you can do to change your habits and then work yourself off the medication.
A good diet and exercise should help. You should buy "Body for Life" by Bill Phillips. It will show you how to eat and exercise to get fit and boost your metabolism. He gives you charts and gives you choices of exercises to use. You even get a free day once a week where you can eat anything you want and not exercise. It's a great book. I recommend it. Remember, it's not a diet or exercise program, it's a way of life. Good luck! :)Well, certain fitness and diet experts claim that eating before bed is a waste because you are using very few calories when you are sleeping. Which is true. Also, if you stop eating 2-4 hours before bed, you body will go into it's fat stores and use energy from there, so if you are looking to lose weight then I would suggest to stop eating 2-4 hours before you go to sleep. Eating right before bed CAN cause weight gain if you eat high calorie foods before bed. But eating high calorie foods can make you fat regardless of the time of day anyway.
And as for exercising right after you wake up, that is actually a very good idea, because your body is in starvation mode so when you exercise your metabolism gets jump started and you will burn more fat that way...G.E.R.D. Gastro Entero Reflux Disease happens when you eat just before you lay down. The spincter above your stomach will open and allow the acid from your stomach to splash up into your esophogas. This can really damage your esophogas. Dont eat and lay down soon afterwards, thats the bottom line and give your food time to digest first. Also, your body works to throw off toxins thru sweat and respirations when you sleep but putting the food in there gives you too many calories to burn, you will eventually gain weight instead of clean your house (body).Try to exercise before you go to sleep. When you're sleeping you body, heart, digestive system, everything slows down therefore letting that food you just ate sit there until your body's ready to go again and even then it takes a while to start up because you were sleeping. The chances of your food turning into fat versus energy are great.it does nothing to you... all that really maters is your over all calorie intake... im 5'6 and 100 pounds and i dont eat dinner until 9:00pm and obviously it hasnt made me fatyou gain weight during sleep and your body is trying to relax but it is working harder because it takes alot to digest food.As long as you are not in a calorie surplus, you wont gain fat.
whether you eat at night or not1) the fat from your meal cant burn and it turns you fat
2) depending on when you sleep it can make your energy level high and hard to fall asleep...it just makes u fative heard that this is bad because the food lies in the stomach and doesnt get processed.I think it can cause slow bowel movements, not sure though,I know of someone who does something similar and has bowel problems because of it!thats what the doctor said anyway!hope this helps u.You shouldnt eat after 8:00, when you are sleeping you cant burn any calories and it can turn into fat.
